So I've been gone for a very long time, and I think I owe you guys an update. I had a baby! Back in September, I had a beautiful little girl. My husband and I are ecstatic. She's ten months old now and is so active and happy, she is the best thing that ever happened to us.
Sorry I've been so quiet. I've still made a lot of artwork, and I'll upload some of it.
I noticed I had a few messages for commissions back almost a year ago. I'm really sorry I missed them! I'll be better about checking this.
Sorry yall!
Liz
I've been watching you over here for a while, but I feel like I have to say it again: I'm so happy there are med/bio/science illustrators like you on deviantart, despite the fact that it isn't the most popular style of art in here! Thank you.
Hey thanks! I'm glad you enjoy my work! Yeah, I feel like a lot of medical or scientific illustrators I know are super hesitant to put their stuff online in case it gets copied, but when it comes to tutorials/info, I say the more the merrier!
Yeah, I suppose being a pro means having to worry about that quite often. Maybe that's why scientific illustrators are so rare around here. I find the solution to copying be rather simple- putting stuff online in a low enough resolution to not be usable, or using watermarks, or combining both methods. I know both these solutions seem annoying to the viewer, but both serve a protecting purpose, allow interested people enjoy the works (low res picture = 100% better than no picture!) and it even allows new potential clients to see what one can do.
